BPACE is constantly changing to meet the needs of the market place while maintaing the School Wide Learning goals as guides.  Articulation agreements with local community colleges assist with helping our students become life-long learners as well as self-actualized individuals.  In addition to articulation agreements, Career Technical Education engages in contracts with local businesses to provide our students with job based learning opportunities.

BPACE Cosmetology course meets the minimum requirement set by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.  The focus of the program is to prepare the student to take and pass the California State Board Exam and earn a license in Cosmetology.  The program covers training and technical instruction in haircutting, hairstyling, hair coloring, skin care, makeup, nail care, salon management, tips for building a loyal repeat clientele and prescribing the right retail products to their guests.

Advanced students practice their skills on clients and gain experience in salon management.  The salon area is well equipped for hands-on instruction in all areas of cosmetology.
